Danny Melvin Zernial
Danny Melvin Zernial, 81, of Kountze, Texas, passed away peacefully September 11, 2023, in Beaumont.
Born in Beaumont, Texas, on August 14, 1942, he was the son of Benny Zernial and Mildred Bailey Zernial. Danny was known for being a hard worker, having been a cabinet maker and later a pipefitter. As a pipefitter Danny and his wife, Betty, were able to travel the country together seeing places they never thought they would see. Southeast Texas always remained his home though, where he spent over the last 30 years living in Kountze. Danny and Betty enjoyed spending their time together, going hunting and fishing. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Benny and Mildred Zernial; and his brothers, Harvey Zernial, George Zernial, and Thomas Zernial.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Zernial; his “adopted” daughter, Ruby Witt and husband, Robert; his cousin, George Fontenot; his great-niece, Lexie Creel; his great-nephew Zachary Leigh; and his great-great-niece, Ainsley.
