Wayne Edgar Dionne, 82, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on February 25, 2026, at Golden Years in Orange.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 5, 2026, at St. Henry Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Ernie Carpio.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, with a Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on May 22, 1943, he was the son of Terrell Edgar Dionne and Amiee Marie (Chastant) Dionne. He dedicated a significant part of his life to his career as a Maintenance Superintendent with Bayer Corp., where he worked for 34 years before retiring. Wayne was a loving and caring individual who always put his family first. Wayne enjoyed traveling to various places around the globe to add to his collection of antique fishing lures. He spent numerous joyful days fishing in both salt and fresh water. His family made many memories together at their camp on Toledo Bend, where fishing trips became cherished traditions. In addition to his family life, Wayne made meaningful contributions to his community. He volunteered for RSVP for many years, showcasing his commitment to helping others. He was also a long-time member of St. Henry Catholic Church and served on the Board of DuGood Federal Credit Union for over 34 years. Wayne was proud to be a member of the Knights of Columbus, where he engaged with his faith and community. Wayne leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service, remembered fondly by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Terrell and Amiee Dionne.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Pamela “Pam” Ann Dionne; sons, Terrell James Dionne and wife Angela, Timothy Wayne Dionne and wife Maricela; grandchildren, Jake Dionne, Zachry Dionne and wife Madelyn, Brianna Nicole Campos and husband Nathan, Camren Page Dionne; great grandchildren, Abel Campos and Demi Campos on the way; cousin, Peggy Peltier; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Zachry Dionne, Nathan Campos, Harold Duhon, Romy Romero, and Don Romero.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mary, Hope, Karleigh, and Kacie at Golden Years and Chris Jones with Geneva Hospice for their wonderful care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Henry Catholic Church Building Fund at 495 W Round Bunch Rd, Bridge City, TX 77611.
