Kent dedicated a significant part of his professional life to the energy sector, spending 17 years working at Texaco before continuing his career at Exxon Mobil for around 28 years until his retirement in 2017. His contributions at both companies were marked by a deep commitment to excellence and innovation, reflecting his strong work ethic and determination.

Kent was not only defined by his career; he was an avid car enthusiast who discovered his passion for Mustangs at an early age, purchasing his first one when he was just 15. His love for cars extended beyond mere ownership, as he enjoyed rebuilding and racing Mustangs, sharing thrilling moments on the drag strip. Kent also had a profound appreciation for the outdoors, particularly fishing and participating in water sports. Living on the edge of the marsh, he relished the opportunities to fish for redfish and drum, visiting his parents' place on Toledo Bend to take his kids out in the boat and ski across the water. Kent's skills even extended to barefoot water skiing, a testament to his adventurous spirit.

Above all, Kent was profoundly devoted to his family. He is survived by his beloved son, Devin Henagan, and daughter-in-law Estefairi; his cherished daughter, Erin Holt, and son-in-law Jordan; and his adored grandchildren, Ema Henagan, Graham Holt, Sterling Holt, and a little girl on the way. His mother, Kathaleen Henagan, and many loyal friends will also deeply miss his warmth and camaraderie. Kent’s gentle nature and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

Kent is preceded in death by his father, Billy G. Henagan, and his brother, Jonathan Henagan. Their memories live on through Kent's legacy of love and laughter, a true testament to the bond they shared.

As we remember Allan “Kent” Henagan, let us celebrate a life well-lived, filled with joy, family, and a genuine passion for life. He will be fiercely missed and fondly remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him.
