Sandra Ann Ross, 74, of Deweyville, passed away on February 28, 2026, in Deweyville, Tx.

Born in El Campo, Texas, on February 20, 1952, she was the daughter of Laddie Baros and Dorothy Burmeister. Throughout her life, Sandra was a beacon of warmth and kindness. Her love for life was infectious. She possessed a unique ability to bring people together, often organizing joyful family gatherings that became cherished memories for all. Her generous spirit and thoughtful nature made her a beloved figure not just within her immediate family but also among her extended circle of friends. She loved to dance in her youth and could often be found on the dance floor with family and friends. She retained that social charm throughout her life, always engaging those around her with an inviting smile and a warm heart. Her delicious homestyle cooking, which she highly enjoyed making, was the delight of family and friends alike. In addition to her passion for cooking, she found joy in watching the Game Show Network, and also in cheering on her favorite football team, the Texans. As a grandmother and great grandmother, she embraced the roles of "G-Ma" and "Grandma" with love and commitment. Sandra was a constant support for her grandchildren, attending their school games and celebrating their achievements, big and small. Her pleasant demeanor and motherly spirit enveloped those around her, making her a cherished matriarch who had a significant impact on her family’s lives. Sandra Ann Ross's legacy lives on through the love she shared, the laughter she inspired, and the family bonds she strengthened. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Laddie Baros and Dorothy Burmeister; and her daughter, Rachel Curry.

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, George Ross; her daughters, Cynthia Bueno and husband, Bernardo, Leslie Cantero and husband, Danny, and April Ross; her grandchildren, Jose Arriaga, Jose Verde, Fernando Verde, Heather Hutson, Rendi Arriaga, Jonathan Butler, Sarah Franck, Mason Lecklett, and Brooklyn Lecklett; her great grandchildren, Jaeden Arriaga, Landon Hutson, Davia Ochoa, Alexander Verde, Arabella Verde, Adaline Verde, and Emelia Verde; her siblings, Robin Mathis and husband, James, Sophian Thomas and husband, Larry, and Janice Bryand and husband, Reynaldo; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
