Obituary
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Reverend Lynn Ashcraft.
Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Beaumont, Texas, on May 25, 1924, Yeavon was the daughter of Thomas W. and Annie Sherman. She loved craft work such as china painting and dressing Victorian dolls. Yeavon was a wonderful seamstress and made dresses for her daughters as well as uniforms for the drum major and twirlers at the former Carr Junior High School. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed seeing their activities at Texas A & M. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Frank W. Frenzel; sister, Juanita Hoffpauir; and her brothers, Carl and T. W. Sherman.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Sharon Johnson and husband Bruce, of Orange and Delores Frenzel, of Houston; grandchildren, Brennan Dobbs, Krissy Schroeder, Clayton Johnson, and Dana Johnson; and her great-grandchildren, Ana, Gunnison, and Autumn Belle Schroeder, and Karissa, Kylie, and Khloe Grace Steele.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Johnson, Brennan Dobbs, Clayton Johnson, Jay Schroeder, Eddie Frenzel, and Drew Davis. Honorary pallbearer will be Gunnison Schroeder.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Orange Baptist Church at 4775 N. 16th St., Orange, TX 77630, or to Orange Co. Aggie Moms’ Scholarship fund at 5470 Tyler St. Vidor, TX 77662, or to Texas A & M Corps of Cadets Scholarship Fund c/o Texas A & M foundation at 401 George Bush Dr., College Station, TX 77840.
