Wanda L. Hazlewood, 93, of Orange, passed away on June 13, 2019, in Orange.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Orange. Officiating will be Barry Bradley. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn in West Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 16, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Haynesville, Louisiana, on October 5, 1925, she was the daughter of John Calvin Williams and Onis Mae Guthrie. Wanda was one of the first female employees hired at DuPont in 1946. She was also a book keeper for a sheet metal local union 196. Wanda was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, service sorority in Orange, for 60 years. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and sewed many dresses for her daughters and granddaughters. Wanda loved to shop. She always took pride in how she looked and her appearance. Wanda also loved to decorate her home while watching HGTV. She enjoyed going to weddings, showers and all kinds of celebrations, but she was really there for the decorations. Wanda was always excited for the Christmas season so she had an excuse to decorate. More than anything, she dearly loved her kids, grandkids, and all of her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Walter Hazlewood; her parents, John and Onis Williams; and JoAnna Beth Hazlewood.
She is survived by her children, Randy Hazlewood and wife Rita of Pearland, Texas, Nancy Donnaud of Orange, Shara Smith and husband Ben of Pearland, and Dickey Hazlewood and wife Tammy of Magnolia Springs, Texas; her grandchildren, Todd Hazlewood, Mike Hazlewood and wife Tiffany, Patti Allbritton and husband John, Walker Donnaud and wife Kaycie, Kerri Arrington and husband Robert, Sarah Hubert and husband Jarrett, Travis Donnaud and wife Mandy, Ali MacMillan and husband Ben, Drew Hazlewood and wife Abby, and Aaron Hazlewood; her great-grandchildren, Garrett Morrell and Breanne, Grant Morrell, Gracie Donnaud, Joshua Allbritton, Parker Donnaud, Raegon Arrington, Briclyn Arrington, Cooper Donnaud, Colt Donnaud, Collins MacMillan, Hadley Hazlewood, Ava Hazlewood, Case Hazlewood, River MacMillan, Hudson Hazlewood, Madelyn Hazlewood, Grey MacMillan, and Baby Hubert; her great-great-grandchildren, Cameron Morrell and Cayson Nash; and her sister, Allene Hopkins of Arlington.
Serving as pallbearers will be Todd Hazlewood, Mike Hazlewood, Walker Donnaud, Travis Donnaud, Drew Hazlewood, Aaron Hazlewood, Garrett Morrell, Grant Morrell, and Joshua Allbritton. Honorary pallbearers are John Allbritton, Robert Arrington, Jarrett Hubert, Ben MacMillan, Cooper Donnaud, Colt Donnaud, Case Hazlewood, River MacMillan, Hudson Hazlewood, Grey MacMillan, Cameron Morrell, and Cayson Nash.
Memorial contributions can be made to First Baptist Church in Orange in Wanda’s honor.

Wanda has been a wonderful neighbor of mine since September 19 , 1972. I treasured her friendship. When I have driven past her house the last few weeks, it made me sad knowing she was not going to be able to return to it. I will miss her always.
