Veronika “Ronnie” Richard
Veronika “Ronnie” Richard, 83, of Orange, passed away on November 20, 2019, at The Medical Center of South East Texas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 26, at St. Francis Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Sinclair Oubre. Burial will follow the Mass at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Vigil held at 6:00 p.m., and a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Monday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Trier, Germany, on February 17, 1936, she was the daughter of August Pauli and Margareta (Frankrietez) Pauli. Ronnie married the love of her life, John “Bobby” Barblie Richard in Germany on March 9, 1957. They then moved to Buna, Texas, where she spent most of her married life. She loved animals, cooking for family and friends, and spending time gardening and tending to her fruit trees. Ronnie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Margareta Pauli; sister in law, Jackie Steele; and her beloved husband, Bobby Richard.

She is survived by her brothers-in-law, Joseph D. Richard and wife Vickie of Orange, and Kermit Richard and wife Lynn also of Orange; sisters-in-law, Charlene Andrepont and husband Leon or Louisiana, and Cheryl Granger of Orange; along with many nieces and nephews.
