As I spoke to a group of teenagers last night in the favelas of Rio about Nana, I rested and found comfort in the never failing promises that Jesus has already prepared a place for her in his kingdom. What she was created for has been fulfilled, and now the hope that she has lived for has become a reality. I won't soon forget of the way she nurtured us growing up, the love that she continually expressed by always preparing wonderful meals, playing every board game with us (especially Sorry), and her attention to detail to our needs as if it were a five star resort or luxury cruise line. Her foundation was in Christ and that was evident not only in her beliefs but in how she prioritized her time. The church was her nucleus and she never abandoned that commitment. I love her dearly and suspect that the next time I see her she will be waiting to give me an orientation of what will be. Grandson: Damon Crim, Rio de Janeiro

What I will remember about Nana is that she was always in her kitchen cooking wonderful food for Papa and/or the family, plus cooking for Cove Baptist Church functions. She loved visitors and never let anyone leave her home without feeling welcomed. Nana would always offer visitors with a cup of coffee and homemade food. She taught me through the years that Family and Friends are very important to her. I will miss Nana very much, but now she gets to hangout with God and Papa. I'm sure Heaven has offered her a huge PINK kitchen full of rooster ornaments cooking for all the angels. I will miss Nana very much and always think about her. Eric Mumbach (Verline's Grandson)
