Verdie Moran Rogers, 83, of Orange, passed away on April 21, 2017, in Baytown.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will precede the service starting at 9:00 a.m.
Born in Orangefield, Texas, on April 10, 1934, she was the daughter of Lanis and Leoma Lavoilette. Verdie worked at Doctors Hospital in Groves, loved gardening and spending time outdoors, and took care of herself well into her 80s. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her grandchildren, who she adored.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husbands, Dantzler Moran and Joe Rogers.
She is survived by her children, Rhonda Bland and husband, Richard, of West Orange, Gail Redd of Baytown, and Kerstan Moran and wife, Andrea, of Cleveland; and grandchildren, Jason Dugas, Abigail Moran, and Katie Moran.
