Tiffani Danielle Hughes
Tiffani Danielle Hughes, 30, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 25, 2016, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Joseph P. Daleo. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on May 31, 1985, she was the daughter of William R. “Bill” Hughes, Jr. and Michelle Hughes. Tiffani was a self-employed artist. She attended St. Mary Catholic School and graduated with honors in 2003 from West Orange-Stark High School. In her high school years, Tiffani was an honor graduate and excelled in choir, drama, softball and soccer, as well as UIL literary competitions. Tiffani had a passion for theater and participated in many Orange Community Player productions. She loved being a first born child of her large family. Her brothers lovingly called her their oldest partner in crime. Tiffani graduated from Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio and was always hungry for knowledge. She was an avid reader and an accomplished writer, artist, and musician.
Tiffani touched many lives with her kindness, compassion, humility and witty sense of humor. She had an amazing smile and had a sparkle in her beautiful brown eyes.
Tiffani is survived by her husband, Patrick Dennison; parents, Michelle Hughes and Bill and Anna Hughes; grandparents, Martha Hughes and Paul and Shelia Vaughan; brothers, Jake Hughes, Michael Chalambaga, Delis Chalambaga, Will Hughes, John Hughes, Nathan Hughes, and Kolbe Hughes; and sister, Jessica Hughes. Tiffani dearly loved all of her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Honoring Tiffani as pallbearers will be her brothers. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Clingaman and Kolbe Hughes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary School Foundation at 2600 Bob Hall Rd. Orange, TX 77630 or to NEDAwalk.org.

My deepest condelences to the family of Tiffani. It is painful to loose someone so loving, as Tifani was, but God stays close to the broken hearted ( Psalms 34:18) . Today a beautiful spirit is being laid to rest. My sweet Katlynne connected with Tiffani she was struggling. While my Katlynne is still here, I know she struggles daily. Tiffani always had such a different way of seeing things. She was brilliant and creative. I remember sitting with her at lunch while she talked to me about catechism, plans for college, psychology. She made a collage of Jesus out of litter that won a prize in a city art show. She always had the most interesting music by artists that weren't on a top 40. Tiffani would be the one to show up to a birthday party with silly string for everyone, or suggest a water balloon fight at the park on a day off. She had a way of making life more alive. None of that sums up who she was or how dear a friend she was. There has never been another person I've met who was anything like Tiffani. God broke the mold when He made her.

I've known Tiffani since we played Power Rangers together on the playground at St. Mary's. She was one of my best friends in high school. I'll never forget rolling into Gary's Coffee Shop and taking over the corner booth on weekends after OCP practice. She'd go through an entire container of sugar in her coffee before the night was through. She was sweet and kind and generous. She'll be greatly missed. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I will never forget this very strong willed young lady. One year she went with us on a youth retreat to Covington, LA. There was a one on one question and answer period with a few priests and some of the kids. Tiffani gave them a run for their money and out mastered and out answered even the priest! She was sharp and powerful in her knowledge of theology. A few years later she came to our house and had decided she was going to try out or American Idol, she came out by the pool and she got a microphone and she sung her little heart out to a song by "Pink". She did a rather slamming job. She also realized she was not ready for AI. Tiff, I love you girl. I know wherever you are now that your trials are over and you have come to terms with your demons.
