Thomas “Tommy” Benton Nugier
Thomas “Tommy” Benton Nugier, 60, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away in Galveston, Texas, on November 18, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Kenny Miller, of Cowboy Church on the Rock.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on November 20, 1956, Tommy was the son of Wallace Nugier and Dorothy (Boyd) Nugier. He was a graduate of Port-Neches High School and a member of Church on the Rock. Tommy was a hardworking man who enjoyed riding his slingshot, bowling, playing pool, and putting on bar-b-ques and crawfish boils for his family. He was known as a loving and giving man who loved his family and animals, especially his Great Dane, Anya. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Nugier; and his daughter, Bridgett Nugier.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice “Bebe” Nugier, of Bridge City, TX; mother, Dorothy Nugier, of Houston, TX; mother-in-law, Audrey Oliver, of Pineland, TX; children, Karyn Crochet and husband Harold, of Nederland, TX and Crystal Nugier, of Bridge City, TX; step-children, Tammie Theriot and husband Jason, of Groves, TX and Niki Segura, of Winnie, TX; grandchildren, Westin Weigand, Lexi Nugier, Gatlyn Domingue, Kylie Gollihare, Blake Crochet, Madison Diaz, Alexis Theriot, Dylan Segura, Devan Segura, Dallan Segura, and Dausan Segura; great-grandchild, Mila Diaz; siblings, Phillip Nugier and wife Vicki, of Poynette, WI, James Nugier and wife Brenda, of Santa Fe, TX, Raymond Flurry, of Groves, TX, Phyllis Hamilton, of Dayton, TX, Nancy Borel and husband James, of Beaumont, TX, and Lou Evans and husband Paul, of Port Neches, TX; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Houston at 5005 Mitchelldale St., Houston, TX 77092.

To Tommy’s family,
Tommy always had a hug and a kind word for all of us in the office at Gulf Copper. He made a point to speak to Everyone when he came in. I saw him a couple weeks ago and will forever remember our visit about our then upcoming birthdays. I know Tommy had the best one this year celebrating with Jesus and Bridgett. RIP sweet Tommy. Tommy was a loving husband and placed his family as the most important thing in his life. Through the years being around Tommy I came to understand I needed practice at being a good father and practice being a better husband. I regret not sharing this with him.
