Mr. Tom, Mr. Goober, was the grandfather that I always wanted but never really had. He taught me so much about family, love, happiness, and life itself. He worked hard at everything he did and loved even harder. I am so thankful and so blessed to say that he was apart of my life and always will be. I love you Mr. Goober rest easy. Love, Mimi

My husband Peter and I send our deepest sympathy to Toms family and friends your loss. Tom and I were in grade school together in Detroit. And luckily, like Gene and John we reconnected and he reintroduced me to both of them who also were in school with us. Tom and I emailed each other, he was a very good writer. I think because I was so far away he felt free to share lots of stories from early on and through his life. He shared all of you with me, he loved his family. I will miss his friendship and his stories. This is the very first picture i have seen of him as the person I wrote to. Just as handsome as when he was the young beautiful teenage boy I knew.
