Thomas Scott Granger went to be with his Lord and Heavenly family on October 17, 2021. Born in Camden, New Jersey on July 14, 1948, with his parents Helen and Bernice Granger, Beaumont soon became his home where he graduated from Lamar University with a BBA degree in Accounting. He served in the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force, living in Wakkanai, Japan and later stationed at the Strategic Air Command headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska and the National Security Agency in Washington, D.C. with high level security clearances.
Loving husband and beloved family man, he was President of Thomas S. Granger Financial Services, handling business needs for clients and exhibiting many acts of kindness for over 50 years. With a servant's heart, he was known as a true Southern gentleman with a strong moral compass, integrity, humility and generosity. He welcomed opportunities to assist college students in meeting their graduation goals, and his faith and belief in Jesus Christ was very important to him as he made a difference in the lives of so many.
Tom's story is a man known for his love of Jesus Christ, living his life as an example to his family, through his service to God, his church, his community and beyond. With a heart of gold, his good nature and absolute integrity, Tom has been a life changing blessing to our family for over 35 years. We would like to thank everyone for their overwhelming love and support during this time.
Those surrounding him with love at the end of his earthly life included his wife and soul mate, Patricia A. Adams, Robert Joss Adams, wife Andrea and Luke Thomas, Anne Bonnell, and Joseph Sterling; Cherissa Renee Adams; Michelle Elizabeth Adams Thuillier, husband Larry, Katherine Grace and Kennedy Lauren. He will long be remembered by many other friends and family. A celebration of life will be a private family service at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Gilbert T. Adams, Sr. Presidential Scholarship or the Viola Mae Joss Adams Scholarship at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas

Tom has told me over the years I had become his oldest (longest) client. He first started doing my taxes in 1975. We both lived in Greentree Village apartments in Beaumont. We met on the tennis court there and I needed help with my taxes. That was the start of our business/personal relationship. He was always in good spirits when we spoke or met. His advice was sound. Tom Granger was a good man and a joy to have known and trusted. Rest well, friend!

Tom had done our Taxes for 20 years and my Parents as well. I enjoyed visiting with Tom at his office as we talked about golf, food, and family and much more. You name it we talked about it. Such a lovely man. I had just visited him about a week before his passing. My heart is sad but I know the door swung wide open to Heaven to welcome him. Mine and Mark’s condolences to the family. Even thou I didn’t know his family I felt like I did through our conversations :-)

Very fond memories of Tom. Always a big smile, kind and positive words and usually a hearty laugh for us both. I am especially thankful for Tom’s life that he loved and cared for Aunt Patricia and their children and grand children. He was a special man and will be missed.

Our hearts are saddened. Although we only saw Tom during tax season it was something my husband and I always looked forward to. He was filled with wit and humor and always told the best stories. His face lit up when he talked about his wife, kids, and grandkids. We are praying for comfort and peace for his family. Ed and Cissy Peveto
