Susan Anne Anderson, 61, of Orange, Texas, passed away on February 12, 2018, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas. Officiating will be Father Steven Leger, of St. Henry Catholic Church. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary held during the visitation, Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Orange, Texas, on September 7, 1956, she was the daughter of Frank W. Virva, Sr. and Florence Anne (Verrett) Virva. Susan worked as an x-ray and ultrasound technician for Dr. Wheeler for over 30 years. She enjoyed her weekly bingo games with friends every Thursday. Susan loved animals, especially her dog Bailey Kai. She had a big heart, would do anything for anyone, and loved her family dearly. Susan will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Florence Virva.
Susan is survived by her children, Dr. William “Bill” Rose, II and wife Andrea Claussen, of Philadelphia, PA and Jessica Rose Pietz and husband Dustin, of Port Neches, TX; grandchildren, Keegan Pietz, Conner Gilchriest, Lakelyn Gilchriest, and Jax Pietz; siblings, Frank Virva, Jr. and wife Glenda, of Orange, John Virva, of LaGrange, Nancy Stutez, of Orange, and David Virva, of Orange; her beloved dog, Bailey Kai; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dustin Pietz, Dr. William “Bill” Rose, II, Frank Virva, Jr., John Virva, John Michael “Little John” Virva, Shawn Virva, David Virva, and Dustin Virva. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Virva, Jordan Hodges, and Keegan Pietz.
