Sue Ayres, 77, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 13, 2019, in Elkhart, Texas.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Eddie Sensat, Jason Sensat, and Sister Ruth Burch. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Tyler, Texas, on May 1, 1941, she was the daughter of James Reggie Worsham and Bertha Serena Hearon Worsham. Sue enjoyed flowers, crafts and geneology. She was very involved in church, playing organ and piano. Sue loved her children and grandchildren dearly and was very involved in their lives. She loved traveling, and getting her hair done weekly. Sue will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bertha Worsham; loving husband of 46 years, Wiley Lavelle Ayres; and brother, James R. Worsham, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Susan Cockrell and husband Bill of Bridge City, Kevin Ayres of Bridge City, and Becky Brewster and husband Craig of Elkhart; grandchildren, Ryan Fisette of Bridge City, Racheal Lisiecki of Palestine, Lane Lisiecki and wife Haley of Rapid City, South Dakota, Evan Ayres of Bridge City, Connor Ayres of Bridge City, Kimberly Scarbrough and husband Chase of Forney, Brandon Brewster and wife April of Palestine, and Morgan Brewster of Elkhart; great-grandchildren, Ari Fisette, Trapper Bielamowicz, Crockett Fisette, Braelyn Scarbrough, and Charlee Scarbrough; brother, Bobby Joe Worsham and wife Fran of Beaumont; sister, Betty Ruth Sensat of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and beloved dog, Buddy.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Fisette, Lane Lisiecki, Connor Ayres, Evan Ayres, Brandon Brewster and Chase Scarbrough.
