Stephen R. Young, 69, of Orange, Texas, passed away on May 7, 2018, in Tyler, Texas.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor John David Creamer. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas, on June 26, 1948, he was the son of John Allen Young and Velma Wright. Stephen was a longtime West Orange-Stark football fan, graduating from Stark High school Class of 1963. He loved to fish and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Stephen will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Velma Young; and loving wife, Frances Young.

He is survived by his children, Christine Young of Deweyville, and Joseph Young of Newton.
