I have known Miss Shirley since I was a child. I remember going to her house every day when e lived on 14th Street, I mainly went to visit with her, instead of playing with her granddaughter. I always thought very highly of Miss Shirley! One vivid memory is she would always want us to walk on her back.

I remember growing up and sitting in the floor playing jacks and dolls for hours. It's a memory I will always cherish. Aunt Shirley was always my bestest friend. We grew up together. I stayed with her so many times. And they were always so much fun. I miss her so much already.

Shirley was my sister-in-law. I was married to her brother, Lawrence. We were, also neighbors, in Orange. Haven't seen her for many yrs. Last time was at a reunion, in Miss. We were friends, on face book, and I loved her. I am sure there is another family reunion going on tonight.

I remember when I was between 11-13 I would get to go spend the night with Aunt Shirley and Uncle Tommy. I thought it was so cool that I got to go. I am so grateful that Aunt Shirley and I have spoken to each other many times this past year. She knows I loved her. My prayers for her immediate family. I know it is a tremendous loss. Love you Aunt Shirley and will see you on the other side!

Grandma Shirley loved and cared for all of us as we grew up and even afyer we was grown. She had a heart of gold and truly loved everyone who walked into our life. I went to prison and she wrote me and made sure that i knew she loved me and I was missed the entire time I was gone. She is my Grandma by adoption because i adopted her as one many years ago though its not by blood she proved blood dont mean anything. I will always cherish the times and memories we have and will miss her forever. I love you grandma fly high beautiful.
