Sheila Gay Newton McGuire
Sheila Gay Newton McGuire, 63, of Orange, Texas, passed away on February 11, 2024, in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Winfree Baptist Church in Orange. Officiating will be Dr. Larry Haynes.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Winfree Baptist Church in Orange.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on January 24, 1961, she was the daughter of Joe Newton and Shelby St. John Newton. Sheila's life was full of simple joys and cherished memories. She had a fondness for hummingbirds and angels, finding beauty and comfort in their presence. Sheila was a dedicated member of Winfree Baptist Church for many years, where she found solace and community. She was employed with Wal-Mart and worked there for over 30 years. But above all else, Sheila treasured her role as a grandmother. Her love for her grandchildren knew no bounds, bringing immense joy to both her and them.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Shelby Newton; her grandparents, Tillman and Beatrice St. John, and Lonnie and Estella Newton; and her niece, Rachel McCabe.

She is survived by her husband, Steven Rollie McGuire; her son, Aaron Paul McGuire and wife, Jessica; her grandchildren, Austin McGuire and Maddox McGuire; and her siblings, Joey Newton and wife, Hollie, Lisa McCabe, and Vicki Fontenot and husband, Tommy.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
