Bob and other family members, I am sincerely sorry for your loss. I know what Shanna meant to me and she means so much more to you. I had the good fortune to works with Shanna for 14 years. Shanna was someone I could count on to understand my joys, frustrations and sense of humor. She was awesome. I keep thinking of things I want to share with Shanna thinking we'd get a good laugh at 'that'. Shanna has rescued humans too as she rescued me from some difficult times in my life. To know someone with such empathy and intelligence was wonderful. A real treasure. I'll keep you all in my Prayers.

For Bob and the family of Shanna. I met Shanna through a dog cancer website Tripawds. We became close over fighting for the lives of our dogs. Trouble had passed before my dog, but Trouble did not die from cancer, she beat that battle. I was sure my dog would make it too, but I was wrong. My dog Sammy passed from cancer and I was inconsolable. I called a couple of people from the website who could understand, Shanna was one of them. She had never actually talked to me on the phone before, but she was so patient with me while I sobbed for what seemed like hours. She was gracious and kind, and she was so empathetic. We talked about her and Trouble, and her rescuing other dogs who need help. From that moment, I always knew if I needed someone to understand about dogs and love I could always count on her. I just really liked Shanna and what she stood for, and who she was. I think she was an amazing person and this world is a bit more dreary without her. I will always think of her as my friend and will never forget being in the trenches on the war against cancer with her. I will be donating to "Old Dog Haven" in her name and please know that she will never be forgotten.

I was honored to have been part of Shanna's animal transport family. Shanna and Bob saved many a dog's life getting it to a rescue or forever home. Shanna will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Thank you Bob for taking such good care of her. Ann Reynolds

Bob and family. I was extremely fortunate to have met Shanna when both of you went on one of your roadtrips. I loved the idea that you would choose a path, travel it, and meet up with people you only knew through animal rescue work online. I was one of the lucky ones who actually got to spend an evening and dinner with you. I am going to miss Shanna, she was a friend since 4th grade. We watched each other go through different seasons of life over the years. I am glad I made the 4 hour drive in the pouring rain to visit with her the last time I was in Texas. She always had a great sense of humor. Praying for you Bob and all her loved ones left behind, hold onto the laughter and smiles she brought into all of our lives.

Shanna was one of the greatest friends I knew. I will always remember all the advice that she gave me. She had the greatest sense of humor. I will also be making a donation to a Rescue she would have wanted.
