Rube was forever young at heart. She enjoyed traveling, seeing new sights, participating in new experiences and playing Bingo. Ruby never met a stranger. She could carry on a conversation with anyone, at any time, about anything.

Ruby’s heart was filled with love for her family, especially for her children and grandchildren. She love “entertaining” at family get-togethers, when her home would be full of family, food, fun and much laughter.

She also leaves behind 14 great-grandchildren, plus one on the way; and one great-great-grandchild.

Ruby is also survived by her sisters, Norma Toohey, Louise Pitcher and husband Bill, and Evelyn Goodman and husband Bob; brothers, Louis Peveto and wife Ruth, and Jack Peveto; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Rubenstein and Gladys Peveto; husband, Paul Brown; and brothers, Johnny Norwood, Sam Peveto, and Don Peveto.

A funeral service to honor her life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be David Lilley, Pastor of the Woodland Church in Longville, Louisiana. Burial will immediately follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange, Texas.

I loved having her and Norma stay with us when hurricane Rita hit Orange. She was so full of laughter and good fun! Her and Norma loved to carry on like two school girls. Wonderful memories I will cherish.
