Rose M. Dupuis

Rose M. Dupuis, 78, of Deweyville, passed away on April 29, 2020, at Pinehurst Nursing Home.

Born in Beaumont, Texas on January 14, 1942 she was the daughter of Gethern McDaniel and Celess (Hryhorchuk) McDaniel. Rose was a devoted member of First Baptist Church Deweyville. She was a talented artist who loved painting on wood and commissioned her artwork locally. Rose enjoyed traveling in her early years, seeing as much of the world as she could. She was an exceptional cook, working at Ruth’s Café in Deweyville for years. Rose was a loving wife, a nurturing mother, and a doting grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gethern and Celess McDaniel.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, J.R. Dupuis; children, Nicole Dupuis of Deweyville, Leslie M. Dupuis and wife Morgan of Bridge City; step children, Theresa Mastermon of Sacramento, California, Venisa of Jackson, Georgia, Tommy Dupuis of Kentucky, and John Dupuis of Vidor; grandchildren, Christian and Peyton Dupuis; brother, Douglas McDaniel and wife Renee of Jasper; and numerous other loving family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association at 322 Eighth Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 1001.
