I’m very saddened to learn of Rogers passing, but also elated with joy to know that he is safe in the arms of Jesus in the heavenly kingdom. My favorite memory of roger is that one time John and I were helping roger with a deer stand and mrs. blister came out and said that she was going to pick up burgers and what would everyone like on them. Well of course me at the time didn’t eat raw onions. So roger looked at me and said “ how would you like your burger at which time my reply was everything except onions! Roger looked at me and jokingly said “ what kind of country boy are you that don’t eat onions? “ And instantly not wanting to look like a whimp I said “ok onions will be fine” ! Lol and ever since then I eat onions in every meal that I cook or order! Lol thank you roger for the push that it took for me to open my mind and tastebuds ! Lol god speed Roger, god speed

I grew up with Roger in the Brownwood addition in Orange. He was like my big brother, teaching me how to hunt and fish in the woods and swamps where I-10 is now. This was in the 50’s. I pray that God will bless his family during these times. I have never forgotten these life lessons he taught me. Thank you, Roger.

i first met roger in 1967..sherilyn and i go a long way back to elementary days but when i met roger he became an instant friend to me ..he loved to show his latest craft or wood working project he had going on and believe me he always had something going on..and when he had his accidents we did a lot of worrying and praying..he loved sherilyn with all his heart and loved his extended family and you knew it in conversations with him..i guess the first thing i saw he had crafted was he had taken plastic six pack rings that coke comes in..he saved not just a few of them he hoarded them and made beautiful wall decorations with all kinds of every imaginable design with flowers and other designs..he got on that kick for a long time before moving on to something else, but you could bet if you saw roger he was into something to keep his talented hands busy.. you will be missed dear sweet roger much love charlotte cloud bienick benton, arkansas

I have lots of fond and loving memories of this man that I am proud to call my brother-in-law. I’ve known Roger since before I even married into the family. This man was truly one of many talents. He and I both shared the love of hunting for Indian artifacts and petrified wood. His and Sherilyn’s beautiful lake house still holds testament today to the unique Jack of ALL Trades ideas and talents that he put together to make that place a dream come true for them. I am so thankful that its new owners are enjoying that place that holds so many special memories for many of us. Roger was a mastermind at pulling tricks and jokes on his friends and family. There is one in particular that he pulled on me ...... he knew that I loved to sleep late on Saturdays, but if you were spending time at the lake, there was work to be done, and sleeping in was NOT on his list. I was sound asleep early one morning at the lake (a few days after watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre). I was suddenly awakened by what I KNEW was a murderer with a chainsaw coming into my room:scream: to saw me into pieces . I screamed and opened my eyes :eyes: to see Roger standing there with his gas powered leaf blower🤣:joy: telling me that breakfast was ready! This is just one of many antics he enjoyed playing on people. How this man survived all the accidents he had during his life is beyond anyone’s knowledge. God had plans for Roger and was not prepared to call him home until Wednesday. Roger.....you will forever be remembered and loved by many. You can now walk down those beautiful streets of gold with your family and friends that were called home before you. I am honored to have known you as long as I did, and my family and I loved you dearly. Stacey
