Robert E. Oldham, 95, of Orange, Texas, passed away on June 21, 2018, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 6, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Gary McCormick of First Christian Church of Orange. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 7, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Logansport, Indiana, on January 29, 1923, he was the son of Russell Charles Oldham and Edna Gertrude Bridenbaugh. He served in the U.S. Navy “Seabees” from December 1942 to October 1945, serving in Australia and the South Pacific. Robert was a member of the V.F.W., the American Legion, and the Elks Club. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and friends, and going to different games and sporting events for his family. Robert loved Morel Mushroom hunting, the Chicago Cubs, and the Houston Astros. He was a faithful servant of God, as a member of 9th St. Christian Church and River of Life Christian Church in Logansport, Indiana, and First Christian Church in Orange.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Edna (Bridenbaugh) Oldham; 1st wife, Avis “Tootie” Eileen Oldham; wife, Carol Oldham; daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Kenneth Blanchard; brothers, Charles Owen Oldham, and Kenneth Oldham; and nephew, Jon Oldham.

He is survived by his sons, Robert David Oldham and wife Kay of New Braunfels, and Mark Oldham of Orange; grandchildren, Erica Oldham and fiancé Kevin Schultz, David Oldham and wife Katrina, Todd Oldham and wife Dena, Keri Oldham, Billy Oldham, Kim Pennington and husband Dusty, Jamie Trimble and husband Bill, and Julie Stubblefield and husband Aaron; great-grandchildren, Colton and Kenleigh Pennington, Will, Alex and Owen Trimble, Carter and Caroline Stubblefield, Emma Oldham, Mila and Weston Oldham, Cade, Greenlea, Paxton and Porter Oldham; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations in Dad's name (Robert E. Oldham) to the Building and Grounds Committee for the First Christian Church of Orange, Texas at 9th and Cypress Streets.
