Robert Carrol Bergeron Sr., 72, of Orange, passed away on August 23, 2019, at his home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., August 27, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Deacon Melvin Payne. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas, on August 9, 1947, he was the son of Lenics and Laura Lillian (Jeanise) Bergeron. Robert was a lifelong Catholic and attended St. Mary Catholic School. He loved fishing, restoring old cars and drag racing. Robert was very creative, considered a “jack of all trades” and enjoyed doing home improvements. Robert was a loving father and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lenics and Laura Bergeron; daughter Kimberly Carrol Wilson; brothers, Lenics Junior Bergeron, Howard Bergeron, and Leroy Bergeron; and granddaughter Faith Wynkoop.

He was survived by the mother of his children Ella Bergeron; children, Kerry Wilkerson and husband Kendal of Orange, Kristina Hickman and husband Ted of Hartburg, Texas, and Robert Bergeron Jr. of Orange; grandchildren, Johnathan, Matthew, Micah, Keegan, Steven, Allen, Kristopher, Blake, Margie, Kali, Hannah, Haylin, and Haiden; great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Bentley, Triston, Waylon, Lucas, Asa, and Cambria; brother Joseph Earl Bergeron and wife Linda of Lufkin.
