Rhett Lawson Burkhead

Rhett Lawson Burkhead, beloved infant son of Emily and Bryce Burkhead, passed away on May 4, 2026, in Beaumont, TX. Though his time was brief, Rhett was deeply loved and will forever remain in the hearts of his family.

Rhett is survived by his loving parents, Emily and Bryce Burkhead; his grandparents, Justin and Cindy Burkhead, Chad and Elisa Kelley, and Danny and Peggy Faust; his great-grandparents, Larry and Donna Doucet, Lynn Burkhead, Faye and Gary Murphy, Beverly and Frank Peveto, Rebecca Morris, Charles and June Johnson, Gay Faust, and Velvet Dixon; and his great-great-grandparents, Amelia Doucet and Dorothy McShan. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other loving family members and friends who cherished him.

Rhett was preceded in death by his great grandparents Robert Faust and George Dixon, great- great grandparents, Tunney and Bea Vercher, Buck Doucet, Miriam and Robert Downing, Alfred McShan, and Jack Ramsey; his cousin, Landon Peveto and great aunt, Stacey Johnson.
