Sadly, I never had the chance to meet her and experience the wonderful person she was, but I did get to meet her two amazing daughters. I'll always be grateful for Tristan and Fantasia and know that Rebel had a hand in instilling great values in them. In knowing them, I know that she left a great mark on this world. Rest in peace, the Garza family will always be here for y'all.

I first met Rebel and her mom while standing in line for the Texas Cyclone rollercoaster at Astroworld in 1993. We have been friends ever since. I made many trips to Orange and she to Houston over the years. She loved Tristan and Fantasia with all her heart and was very attentive to their needs. She enjoyed sitting on her back porch and drink beer and smoke cigarettes, and talk about life. We had many conversations about the good and bad issues of life. She was always an optimist and in good spirits, with a great sense of humor. She would always bake my favorite dessert, Sweet Potato pie. I will miss Rebel, my good friend. I've lost a piece of my heart. But I am so thankful that I happened to stand behind her in line at Astroworld back in 1993. That small incident positively changed my life. Thanks for the wonderful memories. HOLLA!

Tristan and Fantasia, We are so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. We sure loved it when you two girls would attend Cove Baptist Church while living across the street from the church. Our prayers are with both of you and your family. Ronnie, Judy and Tonya Toney

I grow up with Rebel . We all hung out Shannon Me and Rebel and Lynn . We had some good times in riverside. We all went to school together. And I loved going to her house. Her mom Mrs. Jackie was so cool. Rest In Peace Sweetheart.

I’ll never forget all the little things you did for us that showed us just how much you loved us and thought about us. Like when you used to warm up the comforter so while we waited for the bus we would stay warm when it was cold outside while singing Iko Iko. I’m going to miss you so much. I love you momma. Until we meet again.:sunflower:
