Raymond "Catfish" Groom
Raymond “Catfish” Groom, 67, of Town Bluff, Texas, passed away on February 2, 2018, at his home.

A memorial gathering celebrating his life will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at his daughters’ home at 1865 Summerville, Orange, Texas 77630.

Born in Orange, Texas on April 21, 1950, he was the son of Ray Groom and Stella (Monceaux) Bird. Raymond was a member of Millwright Local 2484 in Orange and also Bridge City Masonic Lodge #1345. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and taking care of his animals, especially spoiling his dogs. He will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Troy Lynn Groom.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Frances Groom; daughter, Jessie Williams and husband Bobby; son Ray Groom and wife Tessa; grandchildren, Kristen, Cameron, Colton and Jordan Williams and Lauren Groom; close friend and caretaker, Nicole Guillory and husband Brandon and their children, Bryce, Landon and Kaydance Guillory; and brother, Paul Groom and wife Doris.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
