I was reading rusty words and could't help but respond. I also worked with Randy for many years. He could light up a room with smiles and laughter. He could be there when trouble was need. He was a very smart man, but he didn't bost with his knowledge. He knew Jesus in a special way. I know this because i do as well. We have to go though life with what we are born with. I know Randy was a fighter in many ways. I wish I had time to share with Randy my many battles over the years. I fill I sent to the acid for a reason, but didn't always achieve what Jesus want me to do or say. The world has to many rules, Jesus still calls on us, I pray for the Rickenbrode family, they have to carry on without a great man. Love you Randy, your were a great friend to me. I will miss you.

Don't know if I can put this in words. I'll try. I had the honor of meeting Randy, August 26th, 1980. That's when I went to work for Olin. You couldn't help but like him the moment you met him. He was that kind of person. He became my mentor and very close friend. I never laughed so hard in my life, just being around him. His quick wit and antics were beyond anything I could say here. Those of you who knew him will know exactly what I'm talking about. He taught me a lot! Not only about the plant, but about life in general. He loved God, his family, friends, and his job. I wish I had more time to spend with him. I know he's in heaven. I pray I'll see him there when the time comes. Until then, I will sorely miss him. Love you brother in Christ, Rusty

Dear Randy, I remember when we met in the plant in 1991 and did not know at that time I would make a lifetime friend. You made going to work a most pleasant experience for all of us at the plant. You are the kindest and gentlest soul I have encountered to date. I carry twenty five plus years of memories of working with you at the plant. The fondest is spending lunch time dominoes as your partner and accomplice in seeing Bill McCollum and Gene Gremilion in winning dominoes was worth there while. I feel privileged that you trusted me enough to ask me of all people to help with the construction of your new home. My life is so much better to have had you in it for sure. Last i saw of you Randy you needed a rest and believe you will get that rest finally. It is said that you are never really gone as long as you are remembered so every time I walk into the plant I will look for you and one of your hugs. You take care we will meet again. Kyle Wier

Pat, I've shared with you before how much Randy means to me--and I say "means" not "meant" because nothing has changed except his physical presence is no longer here with us. On this earth, he was a loving, caring, Christian man and a great friend. He always encouraged me by his faithfulness and when I really needed someone to pray, it was always Randy that I called on to pray. I'm so glad his health allowed him to sing in the choir and with the praise team this past Christmas--he enjoyed it so much although I know he was in pain or weak most of the time. I know for Randy that song he loved so much is now true--we can look for him at Jesus' feet. Love Suzonne

Randy and I go back to the Olin days, probably soon after he started working there (now Chemtrade). We talked about going on a family cruise together, but somehow that never got done. He and Pat loved cruisin' though and we talked about it often. My wife Jan and I did meet both Pat and Randy one evening for a meal. You are a special couple and always will be; faith in our savior Jesus Christ! What a blessing you have been to all of us, Amen. :-)

Pat and sons, I am sorry for your loss. My memories of Randy include his love for our Lord, along with his testimony that he was nothing without Him. I remember his love for singing praises and his willingness to pray with and for others. He left a legacy for you all. Go rest high, Randy.
