I'm very late to the party, but I became a friend and learned to respect Polly very early in life. There was a very large pile of dirt on the school grounds near the baseball field where Polly, me and others played "king of the mountain" about 1950 or so. Polly held her ground on the top of the hill, as well, as anyone. She was the only girl I knew in my youth who never backed down from any boy! May Polly rest in peace.
