Obituary
Oziel Gonzalez “Ozzy” “Chel” Ibarra, 72, of Orange, Texas, passed away on October 11, 2024, at Memorial Herman in Houston.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Visitation will begin prior to the service at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, on January 4, 1952, he was the son of Oivido Ibarra Garza and Maria de Jesus Ibarra (Gonzales) Cavazos. Ozzy worked as a foreman on the railroad for many years. He loved his family very much. Ozzy was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Elva Ibarra; twin babies, Gaspar and Jesse; parents, Ovidio and Chita Ibarra; siblings, Magda Guadalupe Ibarra Gonzalez, Ovidio Ibarra Gonzalez, Rosalinda Ibarra Gonzalez.
He is survived by his children, Ozzie Nelson Ibarra, Alberto Ibarra, Cookie Collazo and husband Esteban, and Vicky Rodriguez and husband Jorge; grandchildren, Martin, Cassandra, Otoneil, Jeffrey, Chucky, George, Fernando, Eduardo, Jesslyn, Edgar, Jacob, and Vanessa; great grandchild, Andy; siblings, Jose Luis Ibarra Gonzalez, Angelica Maria Ibarra Gonzalez, and San Juan Angel Ibarra Gonzalez.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
