Nita Johnnie Breaux

Nita Johnnie Breaux, 77, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on July 9, 2019, in Beaumont, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Bridge City, Texas.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Born in Orange, Texas, on October 24, 1941, she was the daughter of Vernon A. Johnnie and Jaunita (Granger) Johnnie. Nita worked as a secretary for Orange County for many years. She tried to be a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Bridge City. Nita enjoyed being with her friends, having good conversation, traveling, and having a good time. She also loved to watch Lifetime movies and soap operas. Nita will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bobby Lee Breaux; her parents, Vernon and Juanita Johnnie; her siblings, Charlie Johnnie, Dale Johnnie, Robert Johnnie, and Vernon Johnnie, Jr.; and her sister-in-law, Mary Johnnie.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna Faye Turner and husband Craig of Hillster and Cindy Kaye LeJune and husband David of Vidor; her grandchildren, Bobby, Dusty, Jesse, Shane, Christopher, and Stephen; her siblings, Sylvia Berard and husband Gary of Orangefield and Cal Johnnie of Orangefield; her sisters-in-law, Ellen Johnnie of Orangefield and Carolyn Johnnie of Bridge City; her 10 great-grandchildren; and her numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

I remember working with Nita at Orange County. What a sweetheart she was. I will be remembering the family in my thoughts and prayers. Beautiful lady.
