Nancy Marie Gray

Nancy Marie Gray, 64, of Mauriceville, passed away on May 16, 2014, at her niece’s home in Winnie.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., with a wake service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Delphyn Meeks of St. Maurice Catholic Church in Mauriceville. Cremation will follow under the care of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematorium.

Born in Springfield, Illinois on April 30, 1950 she was the daughter of Enoch Richard Gray and Ann Margaret (Stanus) Gray. Nancy worked the 4:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. shift at Pilot Truck Stop for 13 years, where she had many great morning customers that she loved. She was a very independent person, who loved her puppy dogs Mia and Sassy very much.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Enoch Richard Gray and Ann Margaret (Stanus) Gray; sisters-in-law, Colleen Gray and Mary Ann Gray; and her brother-in-law Gerad Foster.

She is survived by her brothers, James Gray of League City, Richard Gray of Springfield, Illinois, John Gray of San Francisco, California; sisters, Patricia Foster of Mauriceville, Barbara Haywood of Mauriceville, and Leona Lentz and husband, Kenneth of Mile City, Montana; nieces, Deanna Haywood Simmons of Winnie, Kathy Lentz and husband, Kenneth of Montanna; nephew, Lance Haywood and wife, Cassey of Colorado; great-niece, Sarah Simmons, and great-nephew, Geoffrey Simmons.

I cannot gather enough words to describe who and what you have meant to me over the years. You have been my confidant my help my go to person when I felt like I was going to loose all composure and you have been my friend. I cannot begin to express how much you will be missed by so many people but I know this is not goodbye it is only until we meet again. RIP Nancy Paula Hull
