Mildred “Mickey” Evelyn Roth
Mildred Evelyn Roth, 87, of Bridge City, Texas, and longtime of Seguin, Texas passed away on March 27, 2017.
Born in Magic City, Texas, on May 14, 1929, she was the daughter of Alfred Nealy Yocum and Elzara Thomas Yocum. Mildred moved to Bridge City 3 years ago from Seguin, Texas to be near her daughter and her grandchildren. She was a member of Good Shephard Lutheran Church and travelled the world working as a travel agent for 20 years before retiring. After retiring she got involved with Classic Chili. She loved all the chili cook offs and the new friends she made. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Vernon Louis Roth; first husband, Lester Carl Fischer; three brothers and a sister, Edgar Yocum, Jackie Yocum, Kenneth Yocum, and Wilma “Jo” Salley.
She is survived by her children, Karl Randol Fischer,of San Francisco, CA, Mark Edward Fischer, of Sequin, TX, and Lisa Lynn DeLeon and husband Gary, of Bridge City; grandchildren, Amanda Warden, Melissa Casados, Nicole Fischer, and Roth Fischer; 5 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Russell Neal Yocum and wife Gennie.
A celebration of her life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017, at El Ranchito in Seguin, Texas.
