Maxine M. Morgan, 93, of Orange, passed away on December 15, 2021, in Tyler.
Funeral services will be 3:00pm, Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Visitation will be from 2:00pm, Tuesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Benson, Louisiana, on June 29, 1928, She was the daughter of Richard Mahfouz and Barbara Denby Mahfouz. Maxine loved her family more than anything, and would travel anywhere to get the chance to see them. You could often find her at sporting events and recitals. Maxine was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and was always cheering them on any chance she got. Other than travelling to see family she also enjoyed taking cruises. She enjoyed cooking and anyone could tell you she was famous for her pies and an excellent cook. She was the ultimate caretaker and loved her occupation as a LVN at Memorial Baptist in Orange. She often lent out a hand to those in need, she will be truly missed.
She is preceeded in death by her parents, Richard and Barbara Mahfouz; her siblings Abe, Edgar, Olin, Nima, Lucille, Odel, and Yvonne.
She is survived by her children, Rick Morgan and wife Linda of Schulenburg, Mike Morgan and wife Debbie of Mauriceville, Barbara Pinson and husband Guy of Quitman, and Laura Pachar and husband Brinson; her twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren including one on the way; and her nieces and nephews, Ronnie Latham, Terri Scott, Carla Bond, Faye Knight, Addie Hartwell, Doug Farmer, Tina Callahan, Ernest, Virgil and Bruce McClendon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s or a charity of your choice in her name.
