I just found out today, 11-15-15, that Kathy passed away in April--I read about that she received a posthumous stewardship award in The East Texas Catholic. I'm sorry for her family, but happy for Kathy as she is with the Lord. I worked with Kathy many years ago (in the late '80's) through PHS services in Orange, Port Arthur, and Beaumont. She was joy to work with and know, and I was sorry not to have kept touch. Take care of yourselves, Kathy's family, and rejoice in the Lord, for that is what she is doing.

On behalf of my Mom, June Bordelon, and myself, we are greatly saddened to hear of the loss of our friend Kathy. Kathy was always thinking about my mom and about others. Everyone came first before Kathy, no matter what was happening in her own life. Kathy was ever present throughout my mom's illnesses. One of my favorite memories was her giving mom 'The Princess and the Pea' children's book to describe my own mother's gentleness. Kathy always remembered to keep each of us in her prayers before she went to sleep. Sleep in great peace Kathy, you lived a saint's life while on this earth. We love you and we will miss you. Peace to the family and know that Kathy was greatly loved. With our love, June Bordelon and daughter Jayne Bordelon

When I came to this country I was 13years old.I walked into st Mary's Catholic school and Kathy was the first girl that walked up to me and befriended me. Always kind and special to me. We then years later were neighbors. May she rest in peace. She was always a kind Godly person
