Martha Beard, 94, of Bridge City, passed away on July 13, 2021, in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., with a rosary starting at 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 16, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Arnaudville, Louisiana, on July 18, 1926, she was the daughter of Pierre Robin and Virgini (Domes) Robin. Martha was a devoted member of St. Henry Catholic Church. She loved the Lord and always made time to read her Bible everyday. She retired from Bridge City I.S.D. after many loyal years. Martha loved listening to cajun music, playing Bingo, and cooking for her children when they were growing up. She was an amazing person and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eldridge Leo Beard; brother, Walter Robin; sisters, Anna Lou Higgonbothom and Jane Racca; and her children, Jimmy Cooper, Ann Myers, and Richard Cooper.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne Beard, and Brian Keith Beard and wife René; brother, Wallace Robin and wife Ollie; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be BK Beard, Scott Beard, Josh Beard, Corbin Beard, Chris Beard, and Preston Beard. Honorary pallbearers are Jude Beard, and Gracen Beard.
