Marian Margaret Thibodaux, 86, of Orange, passed away on September 15, 2017, in Port Arthur.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will precede the service, starting at 1:00 PM.

Born in Thibodaux, Louisiana, on July 1, 1931, she was the daughter of Henry Riche and Elmira (Breaux) Riche. Marian enjoyed sewing and crochet, as well as canning fruit and cooking. She was well known for her strawberry fig preserves. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Bert J. “BJ” Thibodaux; and sister, Goldie Weimer and her husband, Philip; and brother, Nathan Riche and his wife, Margaret; brother-in-law, Norman “Peewee” Delatte.

She is survived by her son, David Lawrence Thibodaux; grandchildren, Laura Thibodaux, and Aubrey Smith and husband, Wesley; and siblings, Goldie Weimer, Jane Delatte, Connie Terrebornne, and Brenda Picou and her husband, Urban.
