Maria Paula Hilario Cardenas

Maria Paula Hilario Cardenas, 7, left this world on January 4, 2020.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on August 22, 2012, she was the daughter of Isela Cardenas and Cosmel Hilario Lucas. Maria was a daddy’s girl through and through. She would always excitedly wait for him to get home from work so that she could play and cuddle with him. She loved to play with her friends, draw beautiful pictures, and could always be found with a snack in her hand. Maria’s family loved her dearly and though she left this world too soon, she will always live on in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Isela Cardenas.

Those left to honor Maria’s life include her father, Cosmel Hilario Lucas; grandfather, Genaro Hilario Lopez; grandmother, Paula Luca Estevan; siblings, Angel Issai Cardenas, Barbara Aracely Hilario Cardenas, and Monica Sugchi Hilario Cardenas; and her aunts and uncles, Karla Hilario and spouse Augustine Ramos Gonzales, Maria Del Carmen Hilario Lucas and spouse Wilburt Sanches Cordova, and Rogellio Hilario Lucas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 13, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Deacon Hector Maldonado, of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00p.m., Sunday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange; as well as prior to the service on Monday beginning at 8:00 a.m.
