Margie Jo Wilson
Margie Jo Wilson, 72, of Orange, passed away on June 28, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.
A memorial gathering will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday July 6, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Kirbyville, Texas, on April 11, 1947, she was the daughter of E.C. Oliver and Katie Crooks. Margie loved working on family history, her family history book was her life’s work. She was an amazing MawMaw to her great grandbabies and loved them very much. Margie loved to sit down with her family over a bowl of gumbo and work puzzles. She planned for Christmas all year long and would never let her grandbabies go without during the holiday season. Margie was a mom to many and took care of everyone. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father E.C. Oliver; son, John Clayton McGhen; daughter, Tina Renee McGhen; and brother Ray Oliver.
She is survived by her son, Jason McGhen Sr. and wife Daffiney Harris; grandchildren, Amber McGhen, Amy Bolen and husband Brent, Kayla McGhen, Megan Glass and wife Brittany Hogan, Tracy Williams and husband Tylor, Jason McGhen Jr. and wife Zoey, and Brandon McGhen; 12 great grandchildren; siblings Steve Maddox and wife Gail, Wilton Crooks, Milton Crooks; and numerous other family members.
