Marcelino “Satch” Lopez
Marcelino “Satch” Lopez, 81, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 21, 2015, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Friday, September 25, 2015, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Chaplain Kevin Trinkle and Reverend Barry Bradley. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm-9:00pm, Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas, on April 26, 1934, he was the son of John Lopez and Augustine Pachuca Lopez. Satch enjoyed fishing and watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns. He loved spending time with his family and joking around with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters; and 5 brothers.

He is survived by his children, Martha Callais and husband Glen, of Larose, Louisiana, Clarice Matherne and husband Raymond, of Larose, Louisiana, Tracy Lopez of Vermont, Dawn Brulet and husband Charles, of Arizona, John Lopez and wife Rachel, of Orange, and Michael Lopez and wife Stephanie, of Bridge City; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Fred Lopez, Roger Lopez, and Manuel Lopez.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Lopez, Michael Lopez, Glen Callais, Jr., Erik Callais, Raymond Matherne, Jr., and Christopher Matherne. Honorary pallbearer is Ray Edge.
