Maraline Vann

Maraline Vann, 76, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, in Round Rock, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange. Officiating will be Benny Smith. Prior to the service, visitation will take place at 9:30 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Maraline was born July 11, 1946, in Pensacola, Florida. She lived in Orange most of her life. She graduated from Lutcher Stark High School in 1964. She graduated from Lamar State College of Technology with a degree in Elementary Education in 1967. She taught in the West Orange Cove Consolidated Independent School District for 42 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Vann, and her mother, Normandine Gunter Vann. Immediate family members left to cherish her memory include her sister, Georgeann Vann Johnston; her brother-in-law, Andy Johnston; her nephew Lucas Vann Johnston and his wife Yvonne Centanaro and their daughter Elena (great niece to Maraline); and her uncle, Jim Gunter, whom she considered a good friend.

Maraline was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, She was proud to be an elementary teacher. She will be remembered for her quiet demeanor and generous nature.
