Luther Allen Sharpton

Luther Allen Sharpton, 80, of Orange, died Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at Baptist Orange Hospital.

Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory, at Luther's request.

Luther was born on August 5, 1929, in Orange County, but a long time resident of Buna.

Although he had little formal education he was well recognized as being top in his field of pipe inspecting. Luther and his family were all very proud of the home he single handedly constructed, and still lived in at the time of his death.

He is survived by his sons, Claude Allen Sharpton, of Beaumont, and Lyndon Kelly Sharpton, of Buna, who was a devoted caretaker of his father in his final years.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of choice in his name.
