Obituary
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons, Robbie Puckett, Marcus Thompson, Michael Thompson, Rick Dearing, Brent Dearing and Jake Dearing.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Born on February 9, 1926, in Orange, L.C. was the son of Frank Gossett and Alice (Sonnier) Gossett. He was a World War II Veteran, having served in the United States Navy. He retired from DuPont Sabine River Works in Orange and was a member of McDonald Memorial Baptist Church in West Orange. He was deeply loved by his daughters and grandchildren.
L.C. was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Alice Gossett; wife, Ella Jo Gossett; twin brother, R.C. Gossett and his sister, Lorraine Derouen.
He is survived by his daughters and their husbands, Sandra and Talmadge Hutchison, Toni and Stanley Broussard, Darlene and Gary Dearing, Vickie Thompson Johnson; and brother, Cecil Gossett.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Robbie Puckett, Jennifer Moreau, Angie Bratcher, Marcus Thompson, Michael Thompson, Rick Dearing, Brent Dearing, Shaley Gossett; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
