My favorite childhood memories are of time spent at Aunt Melina's, playing with Linda, Jeanette, and Wanda Sue. Afternoons spent sitting in the fig tree eating figs as fast as Linda could peel them; Jeanette was a good peeler, also. My first glimpse of teen life was spent with them at the Rock-a-bye Club. Raymond's band played there, and Linda didn't sit with us because she had a boyfriend now. I was in awe of this change! My prayers are with all of you. I pray that God will ease your pain. My brother Ronald Trahan and I lived with Aunt Mary and Uncle Oray and Linda, Jeanette and Wanda Sue would come over to visit. Linda never wanted to play with me and Jeanette. Sher was a tomboy. She liked playing marbles with my brother. Well Wanda Sue decided she would put a stop to that little game, so she pulled her skirt out and sat in the middle of the marble ring. Jeanette and I thought that was real funny but no one else did.
