Lillian Marie McKinley
Lillian Marie McKinley, 97, of Orange, passed away on November 8, 2022, at Focus Care in Orange.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday November 14, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Tommy Anthony. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Sunday November 13, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Birmingham, Alabama, on November 22, 1924, she was the daughter of Henry Franklin Bowling and Margaret Marinda Scott Bowling. Marie was baptized at Hartburg Baptist Church, where she worked as the youth director for many years. Marie loved being able to teach the children the word of the Lord. She later became a member of McDonald Baptist Church. Marie enjoyed knitting and crocheting in her free time. She was loved and cherished, and will be deeply missed by all those who got to know a wonderful lady.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Margaret Bowling; husband, Bill McKinley; and son, Ronald McKinley.
She is survived by her daughters, Sue Barnes and husband Earnest, and Margaret Richey and husband Alan; sons, David McKinley and wife Patty, and Gene McKinley and wife Cindy; grandchildren, Terresse Forrester, Charlie McKinley, Earnest Dale Barnes, Patrick Richey, Douglas Rickey, Ronald McKinley, Amber Jones, Casie Needham, Cadie Cassell, Austin Dixon, and Aarohn Dixon; 19 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great- grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and many other family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Charles McKinley, Earnest Barnes, Patrick Richey, Douglas Richey, Ronald McKinley, and Tony Forrester.
