I first met Leslie November it’ll be 9 years. I had just been separated from my first wife and was needing a local job to be able to stay home and care for my sons. I went there not knowing anyone but Leslie made me feel welcome right away. I had worked as a carpenter but only to fill in and help as my craft was operator. I could tell right away Leslie without a doubt was good at what he did. I had a thirst for knowledge and would pick his brain about everything. I wanted to know what he knew. He and I developed a mutual respect for one another and he saw something in me. I would always tell him that I wanted his job. He would laugh and say you’re smart enough you will be able to in no time. He along with Corky helped make me a better carpenter. They taught me to bid civil jobs and because of them I advanced into project management. There’s so much I could say about my work experience with Leslie. The last time I saw him we both happened to be at Hartmann In Sulphur. I was able to tell him where he helped me to get by passing his knowledge to me. He was a great man and will be missed.
