We were always happy to call Mr. Braus our friend. I know his family will miss his sweet disposition, his wit, and the way he was so generous to all. His love for family was unmatched by anyone I have ever known. He really loved children and was so patient with them. I especially enjoyed visiting with him and hearing his Cajun accent. Bridge City will not be the same without him. So sorry for "our" loss.

I can remember the first time I met Mr. Braus and he was picking blueberries at my friends house in Buna. He knew how to pick and boy was he fast. I loved the stories he would tell us while we worked. He always had a smile and knew how to make us laugh. Mr. Braus will be so missed by us all. RIP in Mr. Braus.

I will always remember Pawpaw Braus as a soft spoken smiling man. Marshall and I were so happy to be brought into the Braus family. The times he visited our home he was full of laughter and smiles. Love to the family and friends whose lives were blessed to have known him.

I remember all those gar fish Lercy use to catch in my pond and make gar patties. Such a fine fellow. Home with Jesus now.

My Pop Braus was one of the most active men I have ever know, he never stopped, I would always be sitting outside watching him pick pecans, work on his mowers, working in his shop when it was 100 plus degree's and be worried if he was to fall I would have to go running after him but that never happen, we are all going to miss him, always enjoyed when he would walk over and get a glass of water just to take a break and be off again. Gonna miss you dearly POP, RIP, Charlie and Kim Roberts
