Leisa Lynn Hudson, 60, of Orange, Texas, passed away on March 10, 2020, in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2020, at Little Cypress Baptist Church in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor David Turner.
Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m., at Little Cypress Baptist Church.
Born in Orange, Texas, on September 22, 1959, she was the daughter of Joe L. Hudson, Sr. and Ruthie (Powell) Hudson. After completing high school, Leisa attended court reporting school in Alvin. She lived in Houston and worked as a court reporter for Harris County Criminal Courts for approximately 25 years. In recent years, Leisa moved back to Orange with her job at Bell Engineering, working as a draftsperson. She enjoyed socializing and stayed current on the latest fashions. She was always sure to show off her outfits when attending events. Leisa loved family gatherings, especially when it involved eating crawfish. She adored her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruthie Hudson; and her nephew, Bradley Joe Williams.
She is survived by her father, Joe L. Hudson; her siblings, Martha Williams and husband Milton R. “Rusty” of Orange, Joe Hudson, Jr. of Orange, and Susan R. Hudson of Village Mills; her nieces and nephews, Chris Williams, Greg Williams, Michell Whitmire, and Leslie-Jo Giovenco; and numerous great nieces and nephews, as well as many loving family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123, or to a church or charity of your choice.
Cremation is under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

I worked with Leisa many times in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s when I sat as an assigned Judge in Harris County. She was always bright and cheerful and a joy to work with. I’m greatly saddened to learn of her untimely death. Bradley Smith
