Lawrence Ray Bean, 76, of Orange, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at his residence.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 4, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Steve Vaughn of First Church of the Nazarene.
Burial will follow at Bean Cemetery in Trout Creek, TX.
Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
Lawrence Ray was born on June 27, 1931, in Call, TX. He was the son of Jeff and Myrtle Talley Bean. Mr. Bean was an electrical lineman at IBEW Local# 390. He was married 56 years. He loved to fish, garden, visit the library and spend time with his family.
He was a beloved husband and father who had the unique ability to repair anything for his family and friends. He will be truly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Myrtle Bean, his brothers, Jeff and James Bean, and sisters Ada Faye Bean Williams and Lynette Bean Bogoyas and his son, Barry Edward Bean.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Fontenot Bean of Orange; daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne Bean Mabie and Chris of Lafayette, LA and Christine Bean Hargraves
and Michael of Orange; son and daughter-in-law, David C. Bean and Georgiana of Orange; grandchildren, Buffy Bean, Dannon Bean, Marqus Bean, Brandon Taylor, Kyle Mabie, David L. Bean, Jim Bean, Justin Hargraves, Tyler Hargraves, and Slade Hargraves; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are David Lawrence Bean, Jim Bean, Brandon Taylor, Kyle Mabie, Justin Hargraves, and Dannon Bean.
Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Wilson and Stephen Bogoyas.
