Obituary
Larry Lam Tran, 54, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 3, 2025, in Orange.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A private family service and committal will follow. Officiating will be Rev. Ernie J. K. Carpio of St. Henry’s Catholic Church.
Born in Vietnam, on February 26, 1971, he was the beloved son of Bao and Sandy Tran. As the proud owner of The Classy Nail Bar in Bridge City, Lam dedicated his career to providing exceptional service and building meaningful relationships with his clients. His artistic flair was evident not only in his work but also in his love for drawing, reflecting an innate creativity. Lam enjoyed the great outdoors, finding joy in fishing and bird hunting. He had a particular fondness for the thrill of the horse track, where he often spent time cheering on his favorite jockeys and trainers. Above all, Lam cherished his time with his children, who were the light of his life. His love for them was boundless. His generosity was felt through his great cooking, especially boiling up a big pot of spicy crawfish and crabs. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and creativity that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Larry Lam Tran will be dearly missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Bao and Sandy Tran; his son, Chace Tran; his daughter, Lilly Tran; his siblings, Shawn Tran, Kelly Cross and husband Chad, Michael Tran and wife Elizabeth, Linh Berryhill and husband Mike, and Kristi Goetzmann and husband Ben; the mother of his children, Hang Nguyen; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Coby Cross, Brock Cross, Drew Tran, Adam Tran, Caleb Berryhill, and Shane Berryhill.
